Physical symptoms can occur within 2 - 21 days. It GENERALLY takes 3 - 4 months for antibodies to show up in blood. Some people more time, some less.

My physical symptoms down below showed up in about ten days after sex and when tested the swab did test positive for Type 1 Genital but it's not in my blood yet....that came back negative.
