Can anyone on this board recommend a quality TMJ specialist in this area. I strongly suspect I have TMJ issues and have been off work for nine months due to terrible facial and neck pressure among other things.
The only one I know of is Dr. Richard Klein of the Michigan Head and Neck Institute in Warren, MI and Dr. Ghabi Kaspo of Troy, Michigan.
Any feedback on these two? Any other recommendations. I'd appreciate a reply as soon as possible. Thank you so much!

Don't know if you still search this board, but wondering if you seen Dr. Kaspo in Troy? I'm thinking of going to see him.

Dwayne- right now I'm seeing another tmj dentist and he is going to redo my teeth, upper denture and lower partial, and hopefully I won't need to see Dr. Kaspo, that my new bite will help , but I was impressed with his website, that he is very conservative in his treatment.
also I had called a few tmj dentist in the Detroit area and one told me that DR. Kaspo is the one to see.
Keep us posted if you go to see him, he has the ICAt Scan and that which if you have health ins. its covered under that I was told.:)

I'm bringing this post back up just to follow up....
How did Dr. Kaspo work out?
I'm currently seeing Dr. Klein, and just got my orthotic today. I'm in major crazy ass pain - muscles are going nutso. but i'm gonna stick through it. I have PT tomorrow, so we'll see.
I would like to have a bit more PT - like massage, exercises, etc. Right now, I go in, they put anti-inflamatory patches on me, and I get a TENS and a heating pad.
That's it?
Is that all there is to PT?
What about chiropractors in the area? You guys have any you could recommend that have helped with your jaw?

Yes I seen Dr. Kaspo in Troy and he said just get new dentures made.
At this point I am going to try NCR as pt and cranial osteopathy has not helped me.
Keep us posted on your progress, I would suggest a cranial osteopath before chiro, as I feel the cranial bones have alot to do with tmj.
