No The Disease Cant Live In The Air Very Long. Do Some Research And You Will Find That You Cant Catch It That Way. IT CANT SURVIVE THE OXYGEN

kissing each other and getting fever blisters is not a sexually transmitted disease. it's the same family of virus . you can get this on your hands also. some doctors have gotten this from patients.it is passed through the mucus membranes and if there is a break in the skin, then it can be passed to the cut finger etc.

Kilgore,
That is interesting that you said that about hot tubs. Cuz at first that is what I thought how I contracted herpes. We were on vacation and me and kids used the hot tub one night but I was the only one who sat in the tub. If I remember correctly the day after or maybe even the second day I was not feeling too good down there but I at first I thought it was a yeast infection on the way home on the airplane I was in extreme pain and found it to be very very odd. Anyhow, I'd like to know where you read that or heard about that.

It is doubtful that you can get herpes from a hot tub. The chlorine would kill the virus. Also I assume you were wearing a bathing suit.

It is contracted through broken skin and yes, "matter" is right that with clorine it does kill the virus and that's with clorine. but it says that it can live on plastic for 4.5 hours and that you can catch it from sitting on the side of a tub or on a bench. I guess it means that you would have to have a break in the skin. about me hearing the hot tub story, well i've always heard that about bacteria and i've alwys thought that at hotels it was because of the hot water and the amount of people that sit in these tubs for a long time that if their wasn't enough clorine, then it was a breeding ground for bacteria. sometimes during the busy season, the pools and tubs are full of people and very little time to clean properly. inpetigo is an easily acquired virus from them. don't know about herpes so much but this is gross to say but a lot of people and kids pee in the pools and various other things too. just my 2 cents. i promise I am not trying to know it all, it's just food for thought. If it can be contracted from anywhere through a break in the skin, then i feel anythings possible.

Oh Ok. Well then I guess I just better learn to live with it. My emotions are touch and go each day.
Well, So after a break out is it normal to have itching during healing? The blisters are gone but I still itch.

of course the itching would be there because it is healing which is a good sign. sometimes women can get a yeast infection along with the ob. so it would be a good idea to check that out too.
