i'm just wondering if little red bumps in the back roof of my mouth could be a sign or symptom of HIV. is this one of the symptoms? i know i have to get tested in like a month because of a past experience but i'm just wanting to know. is it possible it could be an irritation to smoking? i had them before right when i started and then i quite and they were gone in like a week. then i just started again and they're back. so maybe?? just wanna know if this could be a cause to worry. doctor's gone for the weekend so i cant ask and i just noticed these yesterday-but they're clearing up.

All you can do is test @13wks..No one can tell you if your symptoms are HIV related!

symptoms and hiv are never the way 2 go if your pending an upcoming test because all the symptoms are also related to severe amounts of stress.

whats your exposure?

Usually mouth sores appear as WHITE bumps in your mouth, and thrush appears as bumps or coating on your mouth that is also white. Normally, mouth sores appear once a persons immune system is weakened after having the virus for a while, not right away. The red bumps could VERY possibly be irritation from smoking, or even swollen buds in your mouth, or they could be something that have always been there, something normal that due to stress you find concerning and now notice.

Im gonna say get tested, but you knew that! How long do you have left to wait?

Red bumps have absolutely nothing to do with HIV. Thrush generally does not appear until the later stages where T cell count drops below 350.

Please get tested at around 90 days if you are concerned http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif
