and I have some questions.

They let me leave hosp after only one night! I had a shrunken non functioning left kidney that the docs think i was born with. I finally caved and got the surgery, however i need some help. Has anyone else had this done? I am so sore! its mostly the carbon dioxide pain thats in my belly and neck. how long does it take to go? also, my belly is still so swollen. will it go down soon? finally, I found the foley catheter removal very sore and since then there has been no 'force' when I urinate, its quite a slow stream. Is this normal?? thanx

The carbon dioxide takes a couple of days. I only had pain in my chest area from it and the upper part of my chest turned black and blue from it. Can't help you with the belly mine was fine and urinating was fine after the catheter came out. It may be different for girls than guys. There is a couple of girls that had this done recently maybe they will long on and help you. Hope you get will soon.

I had a nephrectomy in Dec '06. Took awhile before my urine was more than a trickle. Takes time . Don't rush things.
