I guess it's been about a month since I had my tonsillectomy. After reading several of the horror stories I was prepared for the worst. However, the pain was never that bad. The pain meds kept me almost completely pain free. I was off everyhthing including tylenol within 10 days. My doc said the coblation method is much less painful than traditional methods although some experience more pain than others.

My advice is go coblation if you have a choice. Good luck to those recovering and those preparing to have it.
