Hi
A few weeks ago I had a blood test for the joint pain, heat problems, headaches and fatigue I had been having. One of the tests showed that I had very high lymphocytes, but an overall normal WBC. About 3 weeks later I had the same results. I am scheduled to go back to be tested at the end of this month. SInce my lastest blood test I have noticed a swollen lymph node above my collar bone on the right side. I have also been having chest pain that does not seem to be related to a pulled muscle because it comes and goes. I am scheduled to see a rheumatologist next month, but my PCP thinks I may need to see a hematologist as well. I have not told her yet about the chest pain and swollen node, but I probably will today. Before I call, does this sound like it could be lymphoma. My doc has mentioned she wants to rule it out, which, of course, has me scared witless. I have a vague memory of seeing my pediatrician for a node in the same place a when i was around 15. I think a CT scan was done, but I'm not really sure. Any comments appreciated.
I am a 20 yr old female. I have a history of endometriosis, guillain-barre syndrome, and migraines.

Hi.
You sound like you've had a multitude of symptoms.
The good thing is, you're taking action and getting to the root of the problem.
If you had swollen nodes before and they've shrunk, this could be, yet another episode of the same.
Lymph nodes swell to fight infection, and it doesn't necessarily mean you have lymphoma.
I understand your concern, though.
The best of luck to you.
