I had unprotected sex with someone who I found out later to be pretty promiscuous. Later on i got pretty sick with very vague syptoms similar to mono or ARS. I just got results back from my ELISA test after more than 3 months and I am negative, of couse! I am sure you will be too. Especially with all the extremely low risk situations I have read on here. Dont worry! You are ok. get your test and move on! Remember those syptoms are pretty much the same syptoms for EVERYTHING. HIV cannot even be implied due to symptoms.

Hi trogdor, first of all, congratulations on your negative results! i realize your post is old, but i was just wondering what our symptoms were that were similar to ars. If you see my other posts, i had unprotected sex with 1 man(i am female) and he did not "finish". then i became sick around a month later. sore throat, fever, stuffy nose, etc. This was 2 years ago. He claims to be negative and i know he is currently healthy(mutual friends), but i am SO FREAKED about how i got that flu like illness. It just seems like textbook ars, doesnt it? Since I have read about ARS, the fear has taken over my life, i am so nervous.
