I am aware of protein in the urine since January. Lots of protein. I am now using the Albustix dip sticks at home and I'm showing 100 mostly and sometimes 300. It never falls below this amount.
I saw the Nephrologist for the second time a couple of weeks ago and he said my tests are OK and to keep blood pressure and diabetes under control (which they are) and to see him again in a year.
Today I picked up my test results and it's showing eGFR at 54. He said all my tests came back OK and they did except for the protein and the eGFR.
I just want to make sure this is something that does not need to be followed more closely. Does waiting a year to be rechecked sound reasonable? :confused:
