Hey all...I read this board, and find your posts to be very informative. That is why I am coming to you guys today looking for some reassurance. I have been in a monogomous relationship for the past 3 years, and have only made one mistake...having unprotected insertive oral sex with a girl I did not know. Ever since then, the fear of contracting HIV has been incredible. I was tested just about 10 or 11 weeks past exposure, and I was negative. I accepted that and moved on, however the fear has returned. Is 10 or 11 weeks enough time in your humble opinions to have a conclusive result? I have been trying to stay away from the internet and diagnosing symptoms, because I know this only leads to increased anxiety. I was tested last week again, and I am waiting for a result. Additionally, just the other day I noticed that the gums on one of my teeth has begun to recede...can this at all be associated to HIV? Has anyone ever heard of HIV and receding gums? Thank you so much for your help and advice.
