I was wondering if internal vibrating is common with MS. Since yesterday, I have had a periodic vibrating in my ankle (left leg, inner side almost near the foot). This is really freaking me out. It's not painful, and lasts only for a few seconds. But it has been happening throughout the day.

I've had this happen many times. It is VERY disconcerting. It is an MS "thing."

If you have MS then yes, vibrations/buzzing sensations are very common.
