hiya it's harry.

I bought alum and it worked for me. Now it didn't work for my wife at first. i mean it doesn't work for everyone. Different people have different situations and need slightly different solutions.

i tried prep-h and venpro and neither worked for me, i was desperate to avoid the knife because mine was big. my doc is the same way, he only told me to do the operation. I mean dont get me wrong, i respect him but in the end, i convinced him that i solved it without surgery :)

believe me i even know a guy who got the oepration and he had to both with leaks . Call me a nutcase or coo but im beginning to believe a lot of "normal" medical practice is the real scam. can we say side effects?

i actualy tried witchazel before and it didnt really do much for me personally, just my 2 cents but it may for you ? at least its naturl

Hemorrhoids are like vaicose vein -- a place in the rectum/anus area that has lost it elasticity. And, once the elasticity is lost it never returns to normal. Different preparations may help for a while and eating so that your stool is bulked up using a water soluble fiber will help by not irritating the area.

But, eventually if you continue poor eating habits and ever get constipated (the biggest cause of hemorrhoids), and straining with BMs as well as straining when lifting and do alot of sitting--- your hemorrhoids will need medical attention.

I have never found a preparation that cures hemorrhoids.

I don't know if this is the same as the "surgery" often referred to, but when I suffered from this situation repeatedly some 15-17 years ago, I had them treated in my doctor's office. Painful and personal as the the treatment was, it was more like having a tooth pulled that having a mole removed. In and out in less than 30 minutes, I'd be drenched in sweat, jaws sore from clenching teeth, but relief was pretty immediate. That said, I'm in no hurry to rush back, now that a flare-up has flared up.

This is definitely an example of "ounce of prevention worth a pound of cure"....my diet/exercise regimen has rendered this problem obsolete for years until a recent bad experiment with Beano! Three tablets (as directed) with a bowl of chili produced disastrous, food poisoning-like results....would have been far better off just enjoying the chili and a nice outdoor walk!

from what I've seen in famly and friends, surgery is the WORST thing you can do to yourself. you r literally fixing one problem only to create a life long side effect.

people never talk about this coz it embarrasin and i hate to be the bringer of bad news but most ppl i know personally who get this surgery never heal properly and sometimes have annoying side issues that plague you for life. the worst part is that you can never reverse this and that is terrifyin to me.

it is sad truth for countless ppl who goes that way. defintely use diet and lifestyle to prevent.

whatev you do, do not feed the billion dollar corporate pharmaceutical machines who may not have ur best interest in mind. they even fund medical/surgical establshments so its hard for ppl to see the truth.

has anyone tried Anbesol (or other numbing agent intended for mouth use)? The thought occurred to me that it must be safe and gentle enough

I see everybody posting to this, and before I make a dive into this, I already had a thrombosed hemorrhoid removed and after 4 weeks am still suffering. I feel like such a jack*** for not coming on and searching and searching for stuff instead of just agreeing to my doc. she told me it would be about a 1 week recovery, and sad to say that I'm still having excrutiating pain with my bm's.

Is this system going to help me since I already had a thrombosed hemi removed? I popped a stitch or stitches at about 7 days past surgery I think, and left my wound "open"... so I'm healing VERY slowly. My doc says I don't have internal hemi, don't worry about anything, I'm fine.... but I disagree. I got hemorrhoids because of my last pregnancy, they never went away and now I'm worried there will be more flare ups. Is this system going to benefit me in any way? I saw on her free appendix that there's a guid or something for: Already had surgery, what helps to heal? Is it worth it?

I have skin tags and the doc says if I don't heal in a few more weeks, I have to have them removed. UM, HELL NO. And, if inside doesn't heal, I have to have stitches put back in.

Help, what should I do?

I did research on "how to CURE hemorrhoids" and found that there are few alternative medicines which can help, below are the list of few of those alternative medicines:
taking extra zinc and copper
Bioflavonoids and vitamin C
Butcher's Broom
Japanese pagoda tree extract
Bilberry

I have little bleeding other then that nothing else/no pain or itching, etc
I get bleeding when trying to force even though i am vegetarian. I messed up a week when i went to N.C when only food I was eating was junk food/pizza, subway, etc(the reason I got hemorrhoids/for me its was normal to get bowel movement everyday, sometimes even 2 times a day, also bleeding for me only last 1-3 days most)

I hope other's like us find cure instead of going through the surgery which is gruesome and the scare will never heal. Its reality, healing is better then simply getting rid of something which is part of your body (which makes no sense maybe to modern science but not to me).

I tried Alum which can be found in Cranesbill root and you can try it in crystal form or in powder form. It is said to get a bowl or tub big enough for your bottom to fit in. Take a jar and break up the crystal as best u can (sry don;t remember how much) or take powder and pour into jar with warm water. Let sit till dizzolved. Take small amount of water, just enough to submerge hem's in and pour contents of jar into tub or bowl. Soak for 15-30 min. Repeat 2-3 times a day. Results should be found in 3-7 days.

I followed the instructions down the the T and after 9 days had no results. Spent almost $150...
