Hi I am 15 I am 128lbs and I am 5'3''. I have a friend she is the same height but she's 220lbs... she complains how her mom stresses her out all the time and that makes her depressed where she eats more or she either starves herself. Both isn't good. Especially eating food when shes not even hungry. and starving herself. I've always told her that she should stop complaining about it and start exercising. But no one likes doing that. i know... ive tried... shes 16 and I am extremely worried bout her. shes always been a chubby girl... it effects how she feels, thinks, and how the situation about ppl liking her. Sometimes she lies to me about what guys say and she tries to make me jealous about it. I'm not jealous because I know what most guys think... I think she needs to get away from her mom because she even stresses me out lol honestly.. any replys would help... shes also taken diet pills before too, I've always told her shes always looked good but her mother would say something about me saying something about her looking good. Like (well then why do guys wanna go out the skinny girl ashly?) that makes her feel like she isn't gonna have anyone her mom is a BIOTCH!! repsond back please. :) thanks

Why don't you try working out with your friend? The two of you could take a 30 minute walk around the block everynight. If your friend cuts back on the bad food, the walk will help her burn the fat. As for her Mom, I really don't know what to say. It is really sad when you don't have your parents support. Tell your friend she is way too young to be messing with diet pills because her body is still growing and changing. She might mess her metabolism up by using them the wrong way or something. I, myself have taken diet pills, and been very sucessful with them, but I am also 20 years old and understand everything about them. Diet pills can be very dangerous when abused. Please tell your friend that she should be careful and wait a few years befor she takes any more pills.

Have her try the ~Walk Away Pounds~ its a video, and she don't even have to leave her house! have her stay away from sweets, but not to give them up, when she needs to have a candy bar she can eat one but not to get carried away. Did you ever hear of Belly Dancing? that works REALLY good if she don't like to do situp's.
And they have videos on how to do them. Oh and drink loads of water through out the day. And have her buy some Mags {they usually have workouts in there} that she could try, like SELF. Just some of the things i started out with.

Your friend has got to want to change herself. That is the only way she will achieve any sucess. If she does want to loose some weight she has to realize the small steps that she can take to achieve small goals, weight loss dosen't happen over nght contrary to what ad's say. It has taken me 15 years to achieve a weight that I am comfortable with. One day whe will start looking at herself through other's people's eyes and realize that something must change, or she really is content with who she is. Avideo is a nice way to start and home work out work for millions of people. But you have to do adjustments to your whole life.

For instance: If she want some brownies, have One, not two, right there she has made a sacfifice and has started her road to changing her life. Stop drinking juice or regular soda and drink water, that will help. She has to look at what she is pigging out on. Exercise works wonders, and you do become addicted the feeling that you get from doing it. That is also a slow process to get into though. In the beginning (first 3 months) you will think that people are nuts and it is impossible to do, but slowly you will be surprised at how good it makes you feel and then you'll see that you have actually lost some weight, but be ware of eating too many extra calories after a work out it will erase all the good you just did for your self. I like step aerobics, the first time a tried it I got a really good work out but didn't realize I was doing it because you had to concentrate so much on follwing what was going on. It sounds like her mother is frustrated with herself for allowing her daughter to be overweight and may be venting her emotions the wrong way. Maybe your friend could approach her mom with buying an inex[ensive step and video to help her get started, if she sees she wants to do something positive for herself she may be proud and excited to help. Stop thinking of her mom as an oger! Good Luck!
