I've never had a genital wart so I'm really just guessing here, but based on what regular warts look like (the kind you get on hands, feet, other places...) they turn white.

You think your 9 year old daughter has genital warts? Take her to the doctor ASAP! Please! This is not a time for self-diagnosis.

they're on her index finger.
we have taken her in to the doctor a few times. Her pedriatition burned it off last year; which was so painful by the way; and about a month later 2 grew back (one in the same place). About 3 weeks later, one grew on her thumb on the same hand. We've tried the duct tape, aher dermatolgist practiced the beetle juice on her, and also prescribed a medication named Aldara Cream about 12 packages) after the beetle juice didnt work, and that didn't work either. So her pedriatition prescribed something else (because I don't want my daughter going through that horrible pain of burning it off again) called Oclusal-HP, and it is getting HUGE and very cauliflower like after I apply it. i have been applying this since August 18. I am going to call her dermatologist tomorrow. Thank you!

Ooooh! Ok, I'm so sorry! We get so many people here asking about genital warts, I made that assumption. Please accept my apology.

I'd say if the warts are growing during treatment then it is time to get back in to the doctor. I'm sorry I'm not of any more help than that. I wish you (and her, of course) luck!

Both my granddaughters suffered from warts on their hands and fingers from toddler age. They never received treatment, the warts just one day disappeared. The youngest had non by the time she was 8, the oldest by 12. I know they look bad and sometimes they get hit and they hurt a little, but I think they'll eventually go away on their own.
