Does anyone have neuropathy problems and if so have you been told to lose weight? I am searching all avenues for my constant numbness, burning and stinging in my limbs. My fasting Glucose was 115 last time taken. My Neurologist told me to watch that but other than that there is nothing that they can find. I am about 125 lbs. overweight.

Hi Avia
I just went to the neuropathy forum and was surprised
neuropathy and fibromyalgia sound very much alike.
A person can have burning, tingling numbing and pain with FM yet my understanding is it is more muscle related. However Restless leg syndrome is a symptom of FM but it's a nerve related problem. I have FM
including RLS and I'm also overweight 100+ lbs.
I've have not always been overweight and I've learned weight gain is also a symptom of FM. Just something
to think about. Best wishes for the Holidays

I was 150 lbs overweight. I started to consistently gain weight a couple of months before the neuropathy pain started. I have numbness, pins/needles, tingling in both arms, hands, feet, legs.

I've read that nerve compression is one cause of neuropathy. I'm wondering if my fat was compressing my nerves.

I've since lost 80 lbs and my pain has diminished so that I can sleep without pain relievers.
