Hello. I've had eating disorders (compulsive eating - over/under, anorexia/bulimia) since I was 11 years old. I'm 80 pounds less than my highest weight, but 80 pounds more than my lowest adult weight. I want to get to a healthy weight, but my history of eating disorders tends to cause a bit of anxiety. I just moved and started a new job, so don't have insurance yet (am willing to see a dietician, but gotta have the insurance- will have in 7 weeks). I don't want food/weight to be a major focus (yeah, uh huh), but do want to lose the weight. I typically eat 3 meals (like cereal for breakfast, something at work for lunch, and whatever I can shove together after work for dinner) a day, drink 2 regular cokes (aspartame doesn't work with a neurological problem i've got), drink some water (not enough), and eat some junk food (if it's that or nothing at all depending on time- which I know is a lousy excuse). I've found Zone Bars- they are actually pretty good- 16 gm protein for breakfast without breaking eggs!! Any suggestions? Oh yeah, I'm also diabetic (tho A1C was 5.9 last time for those who know what that is!)& have lousy cholesterol.
