Hi all,
I was diagnosed with mild reflux almost two years ago. Currently on pantaloc.
About two or three times a year this happens to me. Starts off with pain between the shoulder blades lasting a week or so and gradually getting worse with chest pressure. Then suddenly disappears!
When this first happened, I was in distress and ran to the doctor. She thought it was reflux and put me on the pantaloc.
But since I've been on it, I've had these "episodes" a few times. You would think they wouldn't happen if I didn't have reflux??? I don't have any indigestion or regurgitation...nothing.
Anybody else have these episodes. Maybe it has to do with something other than reflux????
Or what I am also thinking it could be is the esophagus got really irritated and went into healing mode and the pain gets worse b/f it gets better??
Who knows!

have you been tested for gall stones? they start out with ocasional "episodes" of symptoms, and can cause pain in the shoulders
