Do you have extreme joint cracking and muscle twitches? Many of you know I have had migratory joint/bone pain for 3 months. The joint cracking onset with my pain-I counted my joints cracking 15 times in 10 minutes- I NEVER cracked before all of this. Now I am getting tiny muscle twitches ALL over my body.

Just wanted to see if anyone else has muscle twitches and the extreme joint cracking.

All my tests thus far have come back clear-even a bone scan. Getting an MRI of brain (though had this 1.5 yrs ago for migraines) and spine next wk...

I snap, crackle and pop ALL the time. At first my husband (then BF) used to raise an eyebrow and look at me kind of funny and now he'll be across the room and chuckle softly and mutter "I heard that..."

The twitching happens only when I'm more fatigued but can happen anytime... but the cracking of my joints happens more times than not when I move. =)

Thanks for your response...I am going to be getting an MRI and nerve testing to rule out other things.

These pains hit me (as did the joint cracking) all at once. I just woke up one day and it was there, and has not left me.

Did you have joint cracking before your fibro? I did not and mine is EXTREME.

What do your fibro pains feel like? Do they jump around?

hi k26...i have degenerative joint disease..had 2 knees and a hip replaced so far. i do crack in all the joints...don't believe this is fibro though.
now, my fibro pain is all different...sharp pain in alot of bones and muscles..headaches...stiffness that comes with pain and many other things are fibro. yes, my fibro pain jumps around or stays there on any given day, also i have not spent a day in over 30yrs being pain free.
hope you'll be feeling better......bevann

I thought I had a joint disease because of all the cracking and the pain, but my test for lupus came back clear.

Did your fibro seem to onset at once?

My pains are so odd. For example I was at the gym tonight and got a quick shooting pain in my calf, then it was gone. I have not had a pain in the muscle yet. Then hours later the pointer finger on my right hand was killing me for about 15 min...then another sharp stab to my spine. Does this pain sound like fibro?

Nothing seems to add up with the joint cracking which is extreme, moving pain and now muscle twitches. I do fear ALS but it is my understanding twitching of the muscles happen once muscles start wasting away.

I have always had snapping and cracking joints, I never really associated it with fibro. I just know my parents had me going to a chiropractor when I was ten and man do my joints crack.

I have popping in certain joints and have always had them. I have them in my wrists and ankles, knees too. I have TMJ so that joint is the worst. I make all kinds of noises moving about the place-my kid laughs and thinks it is kind of gross to hear my bones.
