my doctor tells me that my folic acid and B12 levels seem to be okay,
however I'm anemic 9.2 and I have unexplained weight loss along with
loss of muscle tone. I've been taking nexium for over four years for chronic gastritis. Can the nexium be causing malabsorption?


Yes, it sure can in some people. I have to take iron and B12. I forgot what my levels were at the time of testing, but the levels are fine now.

Do you take a statin for high cholesterol?

Just wondering as I recently had to quit taking Zocor because of a severe muscle loss and terrible pain in my legs.
