Lately, I've been feeling very emotionally empty...not to the point of depression but its getting there..I've been on the pill since 2005. I switched over to Estrostep FE maybe about a year ago...and just recently switched to the generic version of Estrostep FE called TriLegest FE which is a triphasic pill. I noticed that this feeling I get has been for the past few months...around the same time I started the generic version. I have never had mood problems with bc pills before...so I'm wondering if it's a possibility that the TriLegest could be causing this? If so...what are some recommended pills for women that have a less chance of causing this feeling?

Unfortunately, most birth control pills do have this effect on women. It's most likely due to the pill depleting many of the B vitamins. I'd suggest taking a B complex vitamin every day for a while and see if it helps.
