Hi guys, I am back on this board. To recap I have had shooting pains that feel like they are in my bones/joints for 3 months now, at the onset also all of a sudden started to get EXTREME joint cracking. I get shooting pains in my spine that scare me (though I get these pains everywhere) also lower back pain. In addition, my spine is very tender where my bra strap hits. I get a nerve tingle feeling down my left leg once and awhile. About one month ago my feet started buzzing. Now I get little muscle twitches all over my body.
Have had blood work for everything-all good. Had a full body bone scan-good.
Did JUST find out I have basel cell skin cancer. They said this is most easiest to treat and it rarely mets. Of course now I am scared it met to my spine and that is why I have had all of these issues, though now sure where the joint cracking would fit in.
Anyway, have MRI of head (had one 1.5 yrs ago for migraines-clear) and spine tomorrow. Also will get nerve testing. I pray both come back clear. If they do, do you think I have Fibro?
I would love to hear your feedback and your experience. The pains feel very deep in my bone, but I do have nerve pain too and obviously
the twitching is neuro or related to my nerves....

Some of the symptoms match my experience, yet others do not. Have you had a dexa scan lately to check for osteoperosis? Just curious, is your ribcage sore as well as your spine? Have you been to a rheumatologist? Check back with us after you find out more.

I get the shooting pains that feel like they are in my bones/joints but not near as bad as I used to since I started taking Calcium with Vit D. It has helped a LOT. None in my spine though, usually only legs and sometimes arms.
A lot of times in the evenings, I have to take by bra off because, although it fits good, it starts feeling like it is digging into me like a knife on my back and shoulders... very tender.
I get joint cracking but not extreme cracking.... usually only when I get up after sitting for too long. I start off really really stiff and then things start popping while I am moving until I am loosened up. Sitting too long for me is more than 30 minutes... LOL.. and even then I am pretty stiff already.
Best of luck to you on treating your cancer.

Hmmm yeah see I have that dull pain from my bra too. Does Fibro pains jump around like I have explained? I have okay days then bad days.
This all seemed to hit at once for me. I just got up one day and my ankle was hurting, I thought I sprained it-the next morning it was fine. Then the next day my other foot and toes felt like they were being crushed, then 20 min later it was fine. Then I started to get shooting pains in my spine. Sometimes a random finger will hurt. Last night I got a shooting pain in my calf. Also my muscles twitch all over but this is new.
Can Fibro just kick start like this? It all seemed to happen a week after I found out my dad had term pc cancer-that was 3 months ago, he passed 3 wks ago. I was very close to my dad...so everyone has been telling me its just stress. BUT stress would not cause this extreme joint cracking. The odd thing I seemed for the most part pain free for a week, then my dad passed and a few days later it all kicked in again
Thank you all for your feedback on all of this.....

So sorry for your loss, my heart goes out to you. Hhumm, I don't know. I started with extreme exhaustion and felt really ill; flu-like but without the spewing and such. Chest pains, palpitations, shortness of breath, tingling and numbness in my hands, feet, and tongue; severe bladder pain and bowel cramping; sharp, charlie-horse-like cramping all-over body pain that traveled. Problems falling asleep-staying asleep, then staying awake; A-typical migraines, and vision problems; dizzy, spacey thought processes; and last but not least-I've become a clutz!
As far as bone pain, I don't have pain IN my bones, but I have arthiritis-like pain in my joints. I know what you mean about the bone cracking. I have degenerating L4, L5 disks in my lower back. Sometimes when I walk, it feels like my hips are kind of floating around loose in there and they crack and grind.
At the top of this board under a Fibromyalsia Information post there is a symptom checklist you might want to check out.
It's so hard to wait on all the test results, just to have everything come back clear. Hope you find answers soon.

Definitely get your Vitamin D checked. It is best to have your levels checked and then take supplements, then checked again. I would also suggest calcium and magnesium. Maybe even some B-12.

OMG Yes it does!!! I never know what is going to hurt at any given time and it is rarely ever the same thing twice. I have Good days and bad days too. I think that is all normal with Fibro... which makes others (family members etc...) think we are insane what with all the pains and other symptoms we have. I also have had IBS and bladder problems and a few other things that kind of go along with Fibro.

Okay guys, had MRI of brain and spine, the rad tech said I should not be worried and I look like a "healthy young girl"
SO if my MRI does in fact come back clear, that leaves me for nerve testing and my lyme results. If those are clear should I chalk this up to fibro?
The pains I get can just zap any part of my body anywhere from 1 second to an hour really feels like my bones but I had a bone scan which was clear!
Do people with fibro have intense joint cracking and muscle spasms?
IF I do have fibro I am sure it was brought on by stress re my dad.
I just didnt know can fibro just hit one all of a sudden? Can you just wake up one day and boom- you have fibro??

Mine hit all of a sudden. I think mine was caused by stress and maybe menopause.
Like I have mentioned before, along with my usual pains, I used to get sharp pains that felt like they were in my bones, I still get them once in a while but not near as bad since I started taking Calcium with Vitamin D. Since I don't have insurance I have not been able to get my Vit. D. levels checked. You might have said already, but have they checked your Vit. D level?
Everyone is affected differently with Fibro. I get joint cracking sometimes when I get up after sitting for to long... but nothing intense like you are saying but that is not to say it is not caused by Fibro. I think muscle spasms are common with Fibro as well.

Thanks again. I also am going to get my parathyroid tested. Just seems so odd that I just woke up one day with this. The bone pain and cracking is so odd too. My lower back is killing me this am as is my spine---its very sensitive, woke up feeling like that.
Has everyone been tested for most things before dx? My dr wont dx this until we have rule out EVERYTHING, which is good.
Did have somewhat low D, but now I am 1 point away from it not being low!
Do you have pains daily?
