hi everyone, i don't know if i'm in the right place, i just know that i hurt all over and i feel like i'm out here all alone. i haven't been diagnosed with anything yet after almost three months of non-stop pain. my problems started with a numb feeling and tingling in my last two toes and fingers on both sides. it quickly turned into pain in my heels, lower back, and wrists. over the last three months, i have had a variety of horrible feelings - tingling all over (like getting goosebumps), low back pain, wrist pain, muscle pains, pain between my shoulder blades, jaw pain, and clicking in my ear. this all came about after i started a heavy duty exercise program and weightlifting, also during a period of great stress in my life. i have seen a spine doc (mri shows two mild bulges in cervical spine, more damage in lumbar - herniation, anular tear and degeneration) but NO lesions indicating ms (thank you God). the rheumy says i definitely have hypermobility syndrome but that there are more things going on. lots of blood work shows nothing alarming. i'm meeting with him again in two weeks. neurologist did a complete exam and nerve conduction study and says it was all just fine. no one has said a word about fibro, but after spending hours on the internet looking for answers, help, hope, and reading your posts, i have SO many of the symptoms!!! my pain never goes away, it just changes locations every few days, and then goes back to the same spots over and over. does any of this sound like fibro? i know that docs rule out everything else before making the diagnosis, but i'm pretty freaked out and i need to hear from you all who know what you have and live with these symptoms every day. my mom has sjogrens, rheumatoid arthritis, positive HLAB 27, reynauds, and hashimotos. i know this leaves me wide open for connective tissue disorders, whether autoimmune or not. any help or advice would be much appreciated! thank you, lily

I know how frustrating and scary it is not knowing what's causing all your symptoms, even though I've only resently become ill (all my symptoms hit me all at once...nothing gradual about it). I don't have any answers for you except to say that you're welcome here, as we can all sympathize with your fears and pain.
Hoping you'll know soon, keep in touch.

Thanks for the welcome. The uncertainty is sooo scary for me, and I don't handle stress well at all. I'm waiting for the doc to call with some more blood test results, and even though I want to know what's going on, I don't want to answer the phone! I have read many posts and it seems like everyone has all kinds of different pain. Is it true that fibromyalgia is only diagnosed after everything else has been eliminated? Is it possible to have RA and fibro both? My RA tests have fluctuated a lot, from the highest side of normal to mid range. I'm so confused.
