I was wondering if any of you experience nausea from your fibro pain? I get it when I ache all over. It's almost like a pounding headache all over the body. Also when my fibro is flaring and I'm in a car, it makes me motion sick. I never had motion sickness until I got fibro. I guess it has something to do with the inner ear not being in balance. Could you share your experience with these symptoms? Thanks!

Hi,

I get nauseous from it, yes, and from migraines. When I'm in a flare, I go around asking people "Is there a stomach bug going around?" (I would so love to just have it be something temporary, and I do like to explain things away...). "No," they say.

Well, since this happens every time I flare, maybe I should stop asking?

Sometimes, though, with the aches and pains and these symptoms that come and go, the fibro feels like a flu with nausea.

jaust my experience, but I don't think you're alone in this.

Hope you're doing okay,

Seaturtle

Hi Seaturtle! Cute name:) You're right....it feels like the flu with nausea sometimes...just a yucky feeling! Lyrica helps me so much and I'm not near as bad as I was before I was taking it, but my pain is coming back and it's got me feeling down. I guess I have to increase my Lyrica dosage. I just don't want to go back to the way I was feeling before....like I always had the flu. I hope you're doing okay as well! Take care:)

I get the nausea too. That was one of my first symptoms when I realized something wasn't right. It comes and goes. This morning on my way into
work I thought I was going to get sick...throw up:( But I never do.
Look out if someone has perfume on too. Really strong smells are intolerable like loud sounds. Do loud sounds bother anyone too? If there's a lot of people
talking all at once makes me irritable. Too much sensory going on.
The dizziness scares me the most like the one I had today at work...light headed. I just stand there for a minute until it passes. Sometime I just wish it would just take me out all ready- (Pass Out) so I can go There! See! I told you something was wrong!! All the while hoping NOOOO! That would be so embarrising!
Anyway I finally have a doctors appointment in October. New doctor. Then I find out how they feel about fibromyalgia. And hope they'll refer me. What a pain!!!

Yes! I have the nausea too, along with the sensitivity to perfumes, strong odors, light, joint pain, headaches, etc. that come along with the fibro monster. The nausea comes and goes and I always feel like I need to eat a little something to settle my stomach. Unfortunately, I'm just getting fatter all the time. Not good, I know.

everyone who posted on here are right on!
i have the nausea when i'm in a good flare....my sense of smell is very strong, hubby thinks i'm crazy with some of the things i smell, because he does'nt smell them. noises give me terrible anxiety, and makes my chest feel funny. first time i noticed the noise thing is when i was near a harley motorcycle....now though even small noises bother me....just the other day my microwave went off and i had the anxiety!
seems like all us fibromites have alot of issues that are alike.
hope you all have a less pain day.......take care....bevann

What did the doctor say about your symptoms? Your dizziness sounds more to do with something that is actually going on with your ears.

Hi and yes I'm another who gets the full package- nausea, migraines and sensitivity to light/sounds/smellls.... ! Feel like a sniffer dog in a perfume factory some days ! I sometimes get really dizzy spells but I'm still unsure as to whether it's a fibro thing or just yet another side effect from the meds... feel some days that the pills are worse than the ills :) Oh well things could be worse

We keep a bottle of phenergan around the house at all times as nausea and weakness from it hits quick. Unfortunately sometimes it is the other end that gets whacked out of nowhere. I have noticed that if I am around too much noise, activity, or people is when it is the worst. Yes, I have anxiety, but part of it is the fibro since it is about 10 times worse when I am in a nasty flare. The strange and problematic part of the nausea or sudden diarrhea is that there have been at least 2-3 times a month that it will happen and basically I am relatively ok at the time. Weird, but it all seems weird after a while....lol

I get those smells when I'm about to migraine.

The sounds, oh lord, yes. The sound of plastic bags crinkling, paper being written on, folding clothes, the little sounds, drive me nuts. It's a kind of hyperacusis, where sounds are magnified in my ears.

Sometimes I wear earplugs to quiet it down. As far as vacuuming goes....left unsaid!
