I had a colonostopy operation on Thursday evening and came home a couple of hours later feeling fine. Next day I got up and went to work but had to come home due to sever abdo pain. Its still with me and have rung the nurse and she said its probably wind. ITS NOT WIND the pain is tooo severe - anybody out there been through this as well?

I haven't but I would go to the ER if the pain is as bad as your saying. I had a d and c back a few weeks ago and the doctor punctured my uterus and bowel and that was PAIN. Better be safe then sorry.
