Hello. Im a 15yr old female and for the last 9 months i have been experiencing sharp and constant pain in the right lower quadrant of my abdoman (around the area of the appendix). Some times the pain is accompanied by nausea and its agrivated by excersize. Ive seen my GP twice as well as a registra and a peadiactric gasteroenternologist. No one seems to be able to tell me whats going on. (The registra and GP werent very helpful at all.) Ive had an ultrasound which didnt show anything. Please help. What could be wrong with me? :(
edit : the area is also very sensitive to touch

Have you had your appendix out? If not, have you mentioned the possibility of appendicitis? I've heard many stories about how it's improperly diagnosed until it finally ruptures, and you don't want that.
If you have, you're like me! And it sucks, believe me. The best thing you can do is try different doctors until you find one that actually cares, and when you do manage to find one, try to get them to run tests and help you, because they will, they have to, you just have to push for it because hospitals in general don't want to spend money.
Mention the possibility of adhesions as well, they're bands of scar tissue that form and can tug and twist your colon.
Hope you get some kind of breakthrough, chronic abdominal pain is no fun at all. :(

I know some people don't like to believe in "Grumbling Appendicitis," but here it is:
For years before I finally had an acute attack, I would deal with 8-12 hour of moderate pain in the same spot. I never got the fever or vomiting, but was, like you, nauseous and exercise made it worse. I never said anything.
Many people report having on and off pain for years before getting their appendix removed, and would have never figured it was their appendix until they finally realized it very well could have been.
If it suddenly gets worse, don't hesitate to go to the emergency room (We waited hours and that didn't turn out well)
Hope it doesn't come to that, and even if your doctor rules it out, keep it in the back of your mind for the future because if that's what it is, there's nothing doctors can really do.
