Sometimes I feel like I'm too tired to eat. Chewing just takes too much work. Does anyone else feel like this sometimes?

Hi,

I can feel that way, yes, but I have to force myself to eat, or at least drink some milkshakes and peanut butter sandwiches. Eating well is so much part of our staying stable.

If you can afford it, how about a few Ensures or Boost drinks (the supermarkets make their own brands, much cheaper). You wouldn't have to even chew.Yoghurt, kefit, chocolate milk soup.

I think we need to make decent eating and sleep priorities. Medication will not work if you don't eat, either.

Try your best, just do liquids.

Eating is a chore sometimes. No appetite. Lots of times I am eating and I have nausea at the same time and my stomach hurts. I usually have to make
myself eat. I found it interesting after I told the acupuncturist that I had no appetite I'd started being able to eat very good again after a couple visits. Now I'm back to no appetite since I haven't been back in awhile.

Hi Sammye! Yes, it does feel like a chore sometimes. I just feel too tired to chew. It's also hard for me to eat when I have bad achiness in my body. It makes me nauseous when the pain is so bad. I also have hypoglycemia and have to eat often, which gets annoying sometimes.

Hi again!
Do you end up eating the worse possible things because it's easier like lets say popping open a can of pepsi rather than pouring a glass of milk? I have the worse diet which I believe makes me worse...but I only crave all the carbs and stuff I shouldn't have. Most foods sound terrible unless I think doughnut?!
It's a viscous cycle.

Hahaha, yes I do crave carbs most the time. I have hypoglycemia so I only eat a balanced diet of protein, carbs, and good fats. Whenever I don't follow this and eat a bunch of junk food instead, I always end up feeling worse, so I've been trying really hard to stay away from the bad stuff...especially sugar. I know what you mean though! It's hard to not eat those things.

Interesting, I have hypoglycemia as well. The more people I meet with Fibro, I am finding quite a few of them have Hypo too.
