I had bloodwork done for possibly thyroid problems & end up with this. I've never even heard of GFR before. Anyways, can someone please interpret this? The 1st number is my reading, the 2nd one is the norm on the GFR, Calc lines.

GFR, Calc, European American >60 >59- mL/min
GFR, Calc, African American >60 >59- mL/min
GFR, Information Calculated GFR in mL/min/1.73 m2 by MDRD equation.
Fairly accurate in outpatients in chronic kidney
disease. May underestimate in others. Inaccurate with
changing renal function. See

test/bclim/cGFR.html -

Here are the rest of the results. Again, the 1st set of numbers is my level & the 2nd set is the norm.

SODIUM 142 136-145 mEq/L
POTASSIUM 4.1 3.7-5.2 mEq/L
CHLORIDE 108 98-108 mEq/L
CARBON DIOXIDE 29 22-32 mEq/L
ION GAP 5 3-11
ION GAP **Note new reference range.** -
GLUCOSE 76 62-125 mg/dL
UREA NITROGEN 6 8-21 mg/dL
CREATININE 0.6 0.2-1.1 mg/dL
CREATININE **Note new reference range.** -
PROTEIN (TOTAL) 6.6 6.0-8.2 g/dL
ALBUMIN 4.1 3.5-5.2 g/dL
BILIRUBIN (TOTAL) 0.4 0.2-1.3 mg/dL
CALCIUM 9.3 8.9-10.2 mg/dL
ASPARTATE AMINOTRANSFERASE (GO 28 15-40 U/L
ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE (TOTAL) 62 25-100 U/L
ALANINE AMINOTRANSFERASE (GPT) 35 6-40 U/L

Does this mean anything to anyone?

Those things are impossible to read, but it looks to me (and my untrained eye) like your GFR is over 60? If so, you're fine, and your creatinine is low, which is good. But if I were you, I'd call a doctor and ask for an explanation.
