my daughter has not had sexual relations for over 3years, but her last pap smear and hpv test came back positve. can hpv stay dormat for that long?

She came back positive for high risk or low risk HPV? Low risk HPV cannot stay dormant that long (as far as I know), but high risk HPV certainly can.
