It's been almost a year and i have decided to stop taking Prozac. With the help of my Doctor i am slowing my dosage down week by week. Im now taking 20mg every other day. Im feeling fine so far. But im really scared its gonna start my shortness of breath attacks off again.

Does anyone have any experience of coming off of Prozac, if so any set backs or side effects?

Thanks

I am just starting Prozac (11th day) and I am wondering if it helped you. I also had shortness of breath as one of my main symptoms. All I know about coming off of SSRI's is to go SLOW! Slower even than your doctor might suggest as they can cause terrible withdrawals. Good luck to you!

Prozac really has helped me. I was crippled with shortness of breath attacks daily. It definetely slowed those right down to almost nil. I did have some attacks still but they were few and far between and not so harsh either.

I was extremely tired for 1st 6 weeks and my sleep was all over the place. But apart from that ive been fine. Good luck you will be fine

My Doctor suggested not staying on Prozac for longer than a year, not sure why though.
