I got a bee (or wasp or whatever) sting yesterday...It hurt like crazy, and got red started swelling immediately.
Well, today, it's not really any better.
I mean, it hurts less (but still does hurt), but it's still red and swollen, and not just right where the stinger was, all around in an area the size of a quarter, plus a little rash like thing even beyond that. It also itches like CRAZY!
My mom said she thinks that I might be slightly allergic. Could that be true?
Also, what can I do about this? Nothing really seems to help...I've tried ice and cortisone and plantains...Nothing.

First off, you've got to make sure that there's not part of the stinger still embedded under your skin.
It does sound like you might be allergic so the best thing to try would be a topical antihistamine cream like Benadryl to help knock down the allergic reaction.
You might also take an oral antihistamine like Zyrtec for a day or two.

Even if you aren't allergic it sounds like a normal reaction to a sting - particularly a wasp one. Try a cold compress too.

The stinger is definitely not in there.
