what can you take for the pain after you have had your gallbladder out? It has been since May, and apparently the stones were large and tore my common bile duct. However, the Dr. told me they had gotten everything. The first month I ate totally liquids, like NOTHING with milk,but apple juice, broth, etc. The pain still hasnt gone away. I have bouts of diarrhea,at least three to four times a day, my back between my shoulder blades feels like I am being stabbed and it goes around to where my gallbladder was. The Dr. said it should not be happening, but that is it. Theyhave given me something for the

Ask for a sonogram, CT scan, or an MRI to find out what the problem is instead of guessing or assuming it just should not be that way.
I had damage from the laparscopic gallbladder surgery and you may have a similar problem. They could have nicked something that was not suppose to be nicked.
If they won't search further, get a second opinion from another doctor or surgeon.
