In the past I was taking Zoloft and Gabitril for anxiety and depression. Just a few months after I quit taking the medications, I went through several months of horrible issues with kidney stones. (See original post here http://www.healthboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=513526) It has been suggested to me that one of these medications could have brought on the kidney stones, especially since my stones were such an unusual incident for me. Has anyone else heard or experienced this issue?

I'm not familiar with the details of the meds you took and kidney stones. But honestly, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if there DID turn out to be a connection. Have any studies been done on this, and who was the person who told you that there ''might'' be a connection? The big pharmaceutacal companies do NOT always release all their data. Their ''bottom line'' is apparently more important to them.
My husband recently settled with Eli Lilly over a case in which he developed pancreatitis from one of their meds.
I think we're going to hear a lot more about this kind of stuff, in the future. In the past I'd never even bat an eyelid after receiving a RX from a physician. Not any more! I research everything thoroughly now. Thanks to that I refused to take Fosamax for mild osteoporosis (boy am I glad)! There are many lawsuits against the makers of that med too!
Good Luck,
Monte:)
