i am 20 years old 6'5" and im 350 pounds. i think that comes out to 40% body fat (doesnt sound right though)i tape out to be 36%.
my build kind of allows for such weight but it really does hurt my self esteem sometimes.
i have a hard time getting clothes that fit. i have man breasts and that is probably the biggest factor in my self esteem problems. waist is 52 my gut is about 59 inches my chest is 60, each thigh at its biggest point is 39 my arms are 19 i have been thin, but at 314 which for me is as thin as i have ever gotten, that was about two years ago. even then i saw myself as fat, probably from being fat for so long in my life. when i was 314 i was at 15% body fat. and over the next two years working a desk job and going to school i gained a lot of it back, i have been up to 400 before. im not sure if im posting here for support or advice but i will check back soon and hopefully someone will have responded. i dont eat much junkfood and i did lose all the previous weight from walking for 4 months. my schedule doesnt really allow for exercise, though i have started exercising again. i hope to be back to the low 300s soon, uhh, realistically of course not overnight.
anyway i look forward to comments.

Hi Grizzeld Mook-

If you don't know what you want from this board, I don't know what to give you...so I will give you what I would want; unconditional support.

All of us on here are struggling to lose weight. Whether or not you would be categorized as obese is irrelevant, what's relevant is the fact that you are not in the physical condition you would like to be. I think most of us know what we should/must do though we all have our individual ways of doing it.

This is no small task and I am happy you have decided to make a change. You are young too which is great (I was about 21 when I said enough is enough). You will find inspiration everywhere as soon as the pounds start to melt but in the mean time, let me be your cheerleader.

You can do it, though it will be a struggle.

There are a lot of sayings I have seen on this board like:

"Nothing tastes as good as thin feels"

"If hunger is not the question, then food is not the answer"

"“A year from now you may wish you had started today.”
~Karen Lamb

I have a slew of inspiring quotes if you ever need more of 'em.

Any way good luck. Don't give up.

Salamandrina, I'd love to hear move inspiring quotes. I loved the one about "If hunger is not the question, then food is not the answer." That's really motivating. I think I'll write it up on my computer so I can see it all the time. Lots of love, Nikki
