I am having pain along my upper and mid back while eating at meal time. Sometimes it is quite painful and alittle scary. I do have GERD and take prevacid by this pain or pressure on my spine. I am sure what could be causing this. Should I ask my pcp for an xray?

I would certainly go to your doc and tell him about it, and let him make the decision if he wants some imaging done.
