Im a 15 year old girl about 5'7 1/2-5/8...and about 175 lbs. when i see myself, i don't consider my self seriously overweight, but chunky. I've tried diets and and exercise and sometimes i get somewhere..i want to get down to 155..thats my current goal although its probably still overweight, i think it would be a good weight for me. I just wanted to know what the best kind of diets are and what really works/doesnt work thanks!

Hi there!
I really believe that seeking advice from your doctor or school nurse is the best way to start any weight loss program.
Exercise will help you tone up, too. But again, check with a doctor or gym teacher or school nurse so that you don't "over do it" and hurt yourself.
I wish you great success!!!

Rather than following a strict diet, try and cut out processed foods, soda, sugar and eat more whole foods. Since you are young and don't have a lot to lose, this may be the way to go.

Whatever you do, don't diet! That's how I gained weight. You risk screwing up your metabolism. Eat foods you know are healthy (we basically all know what healthy). You can not go wrong with unprocessed foods. Get a good share of exercise. If you do these things, you won't have to worry about carbohydrates, calories, diet pills, etc. And don't be in a hurry!
