I just wanted to say that this is the first time I'm going to a fibro meeting in my area and I'm so excited to meet others in person...just like me! Wish me luck guys:)

Wow, i think thats great ! I hope it gives you some more insight, now im excited for you :) Let us know how it goes good or bad but im hoping you will like it and it helps to answer some question that may rambling in your mind. Crossing my fingers for you :angel:

That's wonderful, some places don't have them. Some of the ones around where I am at have guest speakers, like rheumies, pain management, physical therapists and the like sometimes. Is there just this 1 group or are there others? The reason I ask is I have been to a couple of them over the past 15 years and they were just pity parties. You need to share your feelings and help one another, but these people seemed to like to wallow in the negative side. I felt worse. But there are some out there that are wonderful, just like being on this website is. I'm so excited for you. Enjoy yourself too. It's really nice to be able to sit face to face with people that feel just like you and you can be yourself.

Hey guys! I ended up going to the meeting, but I had a hard time finding the members so it didn't work out. There is another meeting on this next thursday, so I'll be going to that one. I think there is a speaker there as well. I'll let you all know how it goes:)
