I am 37, and the past year started having longer and heavier periods. A few months ago, they started coming every 2 weeks, so my Dr. put me on Yaz. They thought I was was starting perimenopause. The Yaz did not work for me, made me severely mental, so they switched to Lutera. Lutera has been great, although I started spotting toward the end of my pack. I am now on my period. My period is now on the 5th day and after 4 days of light flow it is very heavy and bad cramping. Is this normal, and do your periods seem to eventually get lighter the longer you are on your birth control pills? I tried my Dr. but they told me to just wait and see. Thanks to anyone who has an answer. Michelle
