I am a college freshman and have been sick since last November. I constantly have headaches and I get off and on fevers. I am extremely tired no matter how much I sleep and when I get really worn down I start to shake, and the other symptoms worsen. I have seen many doctors and been tested for so many things (lupus, mono, thyroid, CFS, etc) but they are all normal. I have even gone to the Cleveland Clinic - but nothing has been found. If any of you have any ideas, PLEASE let me know. Thanks

Dear Elida,
Although I post regularly with a different message board, I often check in here. I'm always interested in the experiences, and helpful information, that others have to offer.
I read your post with interest, and have something to ask, and something to offer.
But first ... I want you to know that your symptoms and concerns are valid, whether or not you have a diagnosis. Do not stop your search for the care that you have a right to.
My question: Has Behcet's Disease/ Syndrome been considered? The symptoms that you mention are hallmark Behcet's, although there are a host of others.
My offer: Regardless of whether or not BD has been eliminated,(or skipped over, as is often the case), I would like to invite you to visit the Behcets Organisation Worldwide website and message board
(www.alexknight.clara.net/behcets-syndrome).
The folks there are compassionate, responsive people and the advice and support are given freely. Most auto-immune diseases are interlinked, and I have learned a great deal there.
I will be checking back for your post here, but I do hope to see you there. You will be most welcome. Em

What does your diet typically consist of? Do you eat a lot of things that contain sugars and other refined carbohydrates? Don't discount the possibility that poor nutrition could be the cause.

Thank you so much for the information you have given me. That disease that you suggested to me has not been mentioned by any of the doctors. I will check into that. I greatly appreciate your encouragement and support. I will be visiting that site soon, also. Thanks again!
