I am about to get into a new relationship and I just found out that I have HPV. I don't know how to tell him this. I am really scared that he wouldn't want to date me when he knows. How serious is having HPV? How common can a guy get it grom me? Can you get it by skin to skin contact like kissing etc? I am really ashamed and I feel I am keeping this important detail from him. Please help. Thank you.

do you have high risk or low risk? if he truly cares about you he will understand, i think you need to tell him especially if you plan to have sexual relations with him. you need to do some research online also. i have been with my bf 2 yrs i tell him everything. no it wasnt easy, but he loves me and by me telling him i also felt better. just keep yourself well educated on hpv. im not sure about kissing but definatly sexual contact. hope i helped some

I don't know if I am low or high risk. I will ask my doctor next month when I see him. Thank you for your help. I will definetly tell him before we do anything sexual and I hope he will still like me when I do.

I highly suggest you call your doctor and find out now. I also suggest you ask for a copy of your pathology report so you know what it says.
