Hello,
I started the BCP low-ogestrel 2 weeks ago and have been experiencing cramping...from slight cramping to severe. I usually take the pill at night and that's when I start having these cramps. The pills are the only connection I can see to these cramps, I am not pregnant and do not have a period yet.
Has anyone else had this experience?
Thanks.

new to this site, looking for answers myself. I experience this as well during different times of the month. Dr. says it shouldn't happen, so I am going for testing. I was taking Yasmin for a long time until the pharmacy switched to Ocella, a generic. I wonder if this is the cause:wave:

For some women, such as myself, being on the pill doesn't make cramps go away. It didn't even make them any less, in fact it made it worse. Since I've been off the pill, I haven't had as bad of cramping as I did on the pill. So, it's possible maybe you're just one of the people for whom the pill doesn't fix the cramping problem. Not much you can do about that except take naproxen or ibuprofen for the cramps.

Hi, I finally figured out what was causing those terrible cramps ...I had started taking one a day woman, and I think that cause the cramp... after I would take one I would have terrible cramps and lower back pain ...after i stopped taking them it went away, I knew it was that for sure when a few weeks ago I had forgotten about it and took one by mistake well ...the same terrible cramps and back pain returned... so now i know it wasnt the BCP but the multivitamins
