I was wondering, is this an immune disorder or is it classified as something else. Does anyone have any info about it? I know a little bit about it, but not as much as I'd like to. B/f breaks out when in the sun & he's doing a lot better with his new meds. (which I only know is impossible to spell & pronounce according to him) I want to know more so I can understand what he's gone through/is going through & so I could maybe help in some way. I want to be supportive. Any info would be greatly appreciated. :D

I had solar urticaria 12 years ago. Everytime I went in the sun I would break out in purple hives. To the point where I was unable to work because I was scratching so hard I would break the skin.

It is really frustrarting to have because you cannot even drive a car with your arm out the window because you would get hives. I had this for 2 years and then it went away. I have no clue why. I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto Disease though and I know that your hormones are effected by this disease and I think you can be photosensitive. It might be something to look into.
