I woke up three days ago to a pain in my chest, where when i move (eg, lie down flat, sideways, or bend certain ways, or when i move my arm on that side, or stretch) it feels like i'm being stabbed, its a sharp pain and i've been waiting for it to go away, i'm wondering what it could be as i don't want to bother my doctor. i've also been feeling dizzy for short periods for about 8 days now, i have no idea what it could be though.

have you had a recent injury those past few days? If you do that injury could case your lungs to bleed internal. some injury from falling flat from their back or chest and others similar injuries can break your ribs and cause it to puncture your lungs making it bleed on the inside just like being stabbed in the chest as you have said. you night wanna have it checked and see the result of an x-ray immediately.

Might be pleurisy.
