My question is do I still need to take the Dulcolax and TriLyte before the procedure?

I have not eaten solid food since September 12, 2008.

I am on a liquid cleansing diet. I am cleansing each day with 2 Tablespoons of sea salt and 1 quart of water 1st thing in the morning, and taking smooth move herbal laxative tea last thing at night before going to bed.

During the day I am drinking 6 to 12 eight (8) ounce glasses of purified water, with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice (from lemons) and 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup (real maple syrup) with a pinch of cayenne pepper during my waking hours.

I am scheduled to for a colonoscopy tomorrow afternoon and the clinic wants me to still take the four (4) Dulcolax tablets and drink the gallon of TriLyte before the procedure.

Right now my bowels are liquid, mind you it has been 4 day since I have had any solid food not to mention that I am not a big meat eater and that I have had less than 4 ounces of meat in my diet the day before I started the cleansing.

My question is do I still need to take the Dulcolax and TriLyte before the procedure?

To be on the safe side, you should call the Dr. office and ask them. They should be aware that you have been on a cleansing diet in case that would affect any sedation they use.
