I am curious what I should do next, if anything. I was feeling ill with malaise and loss of appetite and a blood test showed elevated liver enzymes (about 3x normal). I have since tested negative for hepatitis and a recent abdominal ultrasound was normal. Originally my doctor said it was likely a virus but I'm not so sure. I still believe my appetite is diminished but perhaps that could be affected by my nerves regarding this whole thing. This whole episode has happened over the last month.

I am assuming the ultrasound would show anything wrong with my liver - including lesions, inflammation, fatty liver, tumors, etc. Am I right? Or are there additional tests that can/should be done to know for sure?

If additional tests are not likely to show anything with my liver should I pursue anything specific?
