Does anyone know of a TOP-NOTCH doctor in the Boston area for LPR? Also, does anyone know of a great Speech Pathologist in the Boston area for voice therapy?

I am a 55 year old teacher in the Boston area who is suffering from some vocal stress. The ENT I went to several months ago diagnosed me with LPR and put me on 20 mg Prilosec 2x/day. I have had some improvement, but now that I'm back to school, I am getting some scratchiness and roughness in my voice especially, I find, at the end of a sentence and in the lower pitches. I am worried about continuing the Prilosec because I also have osteopenia (pretty close to osteoporosis) and don't want to take medicine for the osteopnia because when I tried to, I got some very achy joints as a side effect. I have read that Prilosec and other PPI's can interfere with the absorption of calcium, and my calcium is pretty important to me right now.

If I go back to the doctor, I want to make sure it's someone who really knows about this condition. And if I go for voice therapy, I'd like to go to a speech therapist who knows how to treat it. If you have any success stories or recommendations I would be so grateful!

Thank you.
