I just went to the doctor because i cant tell when im having an outbreak. He examined me and told me that i did not have herpes. Im confused. Ive never had apositive swab but i did have blood test positive for herpes 2. My doctor said that because i dont have fever or swollen lymph nodes and no lessions that look like it but he doesnt know what it is. i was told the same thing by my gyno. Ive had only 4-7 days at a time that something is not there. I am so scared confused and feel down right helpless. Its there with the medicine but some of the symptoms sounds like thats what it is.Any advise

Have you ever had an outbreak? Is that why you think you have it? Doctors don't know what they can't see. If you have an outbreak, some feel it and some don't. It depends on the strain. Type 1 or 2. Don't make youself sick with this. Be safe and go to the doc. if you feel anything and they can do a swab test. A lot of people have this annoying virus

I thought i had a yeast infection went to my family doctor but seen the woman for an exam. She is just a nurse practioner. She said it was herpes. She did a swab it came back repeat needed. She told me it was positive took Valtrex for 10 days 8 days in to it it came back went to my gyno she said it didnt look like herpes did a swab and put me on more Valtrex while waiting for results it came back neg. It still wasnt going away so i went back she said this is not herpes but she didnt know what it was. I seemed to have about 4-7 days of nothing there and 4-7 days of something there. So i decied to go to my family doctor again but see the real doctor. He said it did not look like herpes. Ordered a release of my blood test results from my gyno which were positive for herpes 2. He said that some people get exposed to it but build up imunity to it. He said I was exposed to it many years ago and since i had no signs of it that he felt like i never will. He said unless i see blisters to not even worry about using protection when having sex with my husbsand. He even spoke to my gyno who said that she did not think it was herpes outbreaks. But they dont know whAT IT IS. A WEEK LATER ITS DOING IT AGAIN. i NEVER HAVE FEVER OR ANY OF THOSE FLU LIKE SIGNS EXCEPT HEADACHE AND NAUSEA HE SAID IT WAS STRESS FROM WORRING ABOUT THIS. I never have blisters. Just itching and some burning. Which are signs. It looks like bug bites or something. Im scared cause i dont know who to believe the internet or the doc. I feel like if it was not herpes it would go away and stay away but i feel like if it was hepes why doesnt the Valtrex knock it out. Im running out of docs to see. IM confused about how its spead because i read so many different things. I have three kids and my yougest is 2. I would rather die than pass this to them. Ive been getting pimples on my thighs but the doc says its not herpes. But the web says it looks like pimples.Im sooooooooooooo confused! What kind of doctor can i go to to get some definite answers?

Most doctors take this lightly because it is so common and there is no cure. So, What to do? Good hygiene and more than likely, your husband has it and maybe no symtoms. Who really knows? 1 OUT OF 5 PEOPLE HAVE HERPES. You are not alone. Check for HPV also. They may be warts. We all get ingrown hairs sometimes. You have been tod Herpes so it can come in the form of a rash, pimple or blister. Most common is the blister. Wash your hands before touching you kids and then you don't have anything to worry about. If you had it on your lips then def. not kiss them when active. good luck. It's not a death sentence
