its been 4 days already and i still dont have any feeling besides some aching pains in my lower teeth
(around 3/4 of my mouth from the left/if you count from left to right "1 to 10" it would be around 7 or 8)
where it feels like my gums r pushing my teeth out!!

only my bottom wisdom tooth were surgically removed.
the top ones were extracted.

im sure the GA is already over and i didn't bleed at all or anything liek that.
i took my meds properly.
why cant i feel anything!
im only 20 and if my lowers lips stay numb forever im going to go crazy..i mean break down..i cant imagine my life without any feeling in my normal lips!!

i mean im already going nuts!
i cant eat properly anymore!i feel like a disabled person!!

does anyone know if the feeling will come back?
is there anything i can do to make the feeling come back?
like roll a boiled egg over it or anything?
i tried putting ice packs on it but it doesn't help!

also sometimes when i talk the area becomes tingling??
is that a sign that its not perement?can i do anything about it?

i dont think its swollen either??please HELP!!!

i've been poking it everyday trying to stimulate it but all that does and everything i've tried is make it feel umm something like a tingling sensation?like a little itchy?
even thou the tingling is only for a little while
then later it becomes numb again..
PLEASE HELP!!

oh and i dont feel anything when i bite on the inner side of my lips at the numb area.

if i take a knife and cut out the whole area thats numb and then let it heal will the feeling come back?

please help me im going nuts i swear!!

i read massaging the area helps the feeling come back?
how do i massage the area? where should i massage? the part where the surgery was done to remove my teeth or the numb area??
how do i massage it ?go clockwise circley?

I just had all of mine out also. My OS mentioned that it is always possible to have numbness after an extraction. Sometimes the tooth is close to a nerve and if it gets tugged on or cut then that's what happens. He said it's rare but when it does happen, most of the time the feeling comes back...could be a couple of weeks or a couple of months. I think it's when the nerve is cut that it is usually a permanent case. He told me in 20+ years of oral surgery he's only had 2 cases like that. I could be wrong but I would think 'tingling is a good sign and you'll probably return to normal but I would definitely call your OS and tell them what you're experiencing right away. I freaked out after I had mine out last week when, after taking a nap immediately after I got home, I woke up a few hours later and my lower right side was still numb and tingly. My mom ( a nurse) told me to use heat to help draw out the anesthetic faster and that worked for me...I think he had just given that area extra because he had to drill there. Call your OS. I'm sure he or she will be more than happy to answer your questions. I wish you luck. Hope you feel better soon.
Do NOT use a knife and do anything like that yourself. As I mentioned above, if you cut the wrong area you could make things MUCH worse for yourself.
