i've posted on a couple of other boards trying to get some answers.

this is the 37th day in a row that i've had a fever. (that i know of. my son asked me how to use the thermometer one day and i took my temp and found out i had a fever. i've used other thermometers and they've all confirmed the fever.)

before i knew i had a fever, i had ovarian pain, bloating, early satiety, fatigue. i have endometriosis, so i figured i had a ruptured cyst or something. anyway, the ovarian pain has been off and on since july.

in august, i started having epigastric pain and also pain on the right side. (under the ribcage) i thought maybe gallstones. my dr said it was probably a virus and since my temp wasn't all that high, then i should just wait it out. blood work was done. amylase was slightly elevated at the time, but not by a whole lot. lipase normal. CBC normal, LFTs normal. she gave me aciphex which did not help at all. i also developed upper right side back pain.

she finally gave me a referral to a GI who gave me prevacid which made me nauseated and made my stomach pain far worse. then he redid CBC - normal, pancreas enzymes - normal, thyroid test - normal, LFTs - normal.

GI did an endoscopy which revealed nothing. then an abdominal ultrasound. normal. then an abdominal CT scan with contrast. normal again. i'm scheduled for a HIDA scan tomorrow if the hurricane doesn't close the hospital.

this week i've had night sweats. in the last week or so, i've had chills - violent shaking that i was unable to control. and last night, i kept waking myself up scratching. i was very itchy. and i've been a bit itchy all day today as well. not severe itching, just annoying.

my fever at its highest is 100.7.

could all of this be some sort of virus?

edited to add: i also had spotting in august - one month before my period was supposed to start. (i do 3 months of continuous birth control pills since i have endo. normally i can go 4 months before spotting.) anyway, i stopped the pills so that i could get a period. well, i got a period and then this week (less than one month after my period) i started spotting again.

If I were you I would get your gallbladder checked out again. It is just that all the pain that you have been having seems to fit. However, you do not need to have gallstones to have a problem with your gallbladder. You can have an inflammation of your gallbladder that causes these problems and this would account for the pain, the fever and possibly the itching too.
