I'm new here and I hope I'm not repeating questions.
I had my uterus removed in 1984, but still have my ovaries.
I'm 52 yrs old. I've been having hot flashes and night sweats for about two years now. I tried using Estroven (over the counter med) and at first it worked very well.
But about the last month and a half it's been really bad.
The hot flashes come about every 20 minutes or so now.
At night, I can't sleep for the night sweats.
I don't care for the idea of using HRT's.
I feel so dirty all the time anymore...
I don't feel as feminine as I used to.
It seems like I can't get my family to quite understand any of it.
They're good to me, but it's like 'awwww, we're sorry'...and I knwo they mean it, but they just don't 'get it'.
I'm so very frustrated and depressed anymore.
I don't mean to sound like a drama queen, but I've truly thought like
life is'nt even worth it anymore.
I'm sorry to ramble on..I just need to be with others like myself I guess.
