Hi to all the ladies! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif
I usually post over on the Pregnancy board, on the TTC buddies thread, but thought I'd come over here and ask you about the biopsy.
I had an HSG done last month and everything came back perfect. The RE said I have to have this other test done to check that the walls of the endometrium (womb lining) are thick enough to sustain a fetus, or for it to implant. I've never been PG before and am almost 38, so quite worried.
Thanks for your help and sending TONS of babydust to each and every one of you wondeful women!

Hi Nela. I had an endo biopsy and I am going to be honest with you, it was not fun at all. It was a lot more painful for me than the HSG, but it was also a whole lot quicker. I need to mention that I had a bad doctor who was very rough and did not numb my cervix before clamping it. Nor did I know what to expect, so I had taken no painkillers. I suggest a couple of things. First, take an 800mg motrin before the test, a vicodin would be even better. Second, ask the doc to numb your cervix before clamping it open...it will make things a lot more comfortable for you. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips! What a quick reply http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif I took some Ibuprofen and a tranquilizer before the HSG, and it was a bit uncomfortable.
The other day, while we were scheduling the biopsy, I asked the doctor about the pain factor and she said it was less painful than the HSG. In fact, she even wanted to do it right then and there without any preparation. But then she changed her mind after looking at my charts and decided to programme it for next month. Sigh of relief all round! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif I'll definitely be prepared with a strong painkiller next time!
Thanks again and take care http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif
